
Print Resolution (dpi) & Size (pixels)
Once
an image is sent to your printer, the photo's actual printed size (and
therefore quality) will depend upon the file's dpi setting (dots
per inch). Industry standard settings for magazines etc are usually
600dpi. Other printed material may only require 300dpi whereas web images
are usually set at 72dpi.
I
am happy to supply all images at your preferred print resolution.
If a preference is not specified they are by default set at 600dpi.
Most
horticultural photographs at NZ Plant Pics are 1952 x 2592 Pixels =
5,059,584 = 5 mega pixels. At different dpi settings this size
image would produce the following size printed photos:

at 600 dpi photograph would be,
Width
= 8.263 cm (3.253 inches)
Height = 10.973 cm (4.32 inches)
