A deciduous shrub from Japan.

Although Deutzia scabra needs shelter from strong winds, it is a very hardy plant and easily grown.

It has an upright habit, reaching up to 2.5m tall when mature. Easily clipped.

In early summer this Deutzia cultivar is covered in honey-scented double white flowers, sometimes with a pink tinge.
