Pachystegia
genus - Found only in New Zealand and containing three
species. Originally classed as forms of Olearia, they have
now have been botanically reclassified as Pachystegia. Found
growing in inhospitable places on rocky slopes and cliffs,
they tolerate drought, sun and salt winds. Their felted stems
and foliage plus the abundance of flowers make them worthy
garden plants.
